Red Bull has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 Grand Prix year, promoting Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive. The young driver, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, will be the partner of Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the junior outfit Racing Bulls. These changes results in Japan's Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid following a five-year stint. A Star in the Making The British teen took part in FP1 for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was marked out as a rising talent by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Talking about the team's junior academy, a key advisor previously said that Lindblad "appears very talented", highlighting his "natural quickness". The team has been working for some time to ready Lindblad for his likely F1 debut in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. The rookie said it was a "huge honour", commenting: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm eager to collaborate with the team and rise to it. I am incredibly excited to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi. A Major Opportunity for Hadjar Isack Hadjar enjoys his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Dutch Grand Prix this season. Hadjar's F1 career started on a low note when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, from that point, he has emerged as one of the stand-out rookies this season. He included an outstanding podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the championship. The team principal commented: "Hadjar has shown great maturity and proved to be a fast adapter. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can succeed next to Max." Hadjar described it "a fantastic step" and said he felt "up for the challenge". Tsunoda's Exit For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson instead of Tsunoda. Lawson began the season with the main team but was moved back early in the year. However, he has settled back in at the junior outfit with some strong performances, convincing Red Bull he merits more time. Tsunoda, in contrast, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has scored a small fraction of the team's points total. The driver market moves mean that there is also no place on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
