Real Madrid brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold with a multi-year contract

Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is advancing according to plan, giving hope that the Real Madrid right-back may recover soon enough to face his old team Liverpool in November's Champions League encounter.

The 27-year-old international sustained a muscle problem while playing against French side Marseille in the group stage of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the field in the early stages, with initial estimates indicating a possible absence of around six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League match—precisely seven weeks since the incident occurred.

Insiders close to the player's condition suggest that the player's comeback is progressing well, and there is hope that Alexander-Arnold might achieve his initial comeback to Anfield after joining Real Madrid in June.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold previously stated that leaving the club he entered as a six-year-old academy talent was the "toughest choice he has ever made."

During his spell with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold made 354 games, contributing to secure two Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since moving to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has featured five times in all competitions, accumulating over two and a half hours of playing time.
