'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
