The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills proving the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that draws so many people into the National Football League

This outcome may have opened things up for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals

Meanwhile in the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash next week, while our player of the week is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen try too much or was it just a poor performance for Buffalo?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or something more? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a row against the Dolphins but were outperformed from the beginning as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's top offences

Tua Tagovailoa passed for two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns

Containing the league's best running game was also key, with Cook and company recording just eighty-six yards, their lowest of the year and just over fifty percent their 161.5 yard average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the pair from Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just two plays

It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Allen trying to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - not the composed, controlled, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this year

Miami have served up a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on whether this is the start of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East

Spotlight - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed

Regarding the Patriots, they're among three eight and two teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in New England, Denver and Indianapolis really for dominating the lesser sides, with just five of their combined 24 victories achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver

Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can rely on Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their prime time win in Buffalo appears to be a declaration

Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight wins, similar to the Broncos, since then - but defeating Baker Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to get ready was significant

Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he definitely earns point for courage after absorbing some hard tackles in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to victory

The defense is solid and rookie rusher TreVeyon Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exhilerating scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to break 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favorites to end with the best record due to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, although a significant contest against the Bills

Visiting the Ravens is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who could also compete for top seed but face the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Indianapolis also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jaguars to contend with. There is a long way to travel but the opportunity is open for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference

Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Clash

Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 teams are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who each scored 40 burgers to reach 7-2 ahead of next week's major meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game

Each could realistically be undefeated as well - particularly the Rams as their two defeats occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score

The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely two of the best sides in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far

Top Performer - Taylor

Jonathan Taylor could be on for a historic year after his remarkable performance in Berlin - rushing for 244 yards, scoring three touchdowns and adding another forty-two {receiving yards
